Dr. Sofola was the Flight Surgeon while on the USS Enterprise and continues while on Reserve status as Flight Surgeon for a Jet Squadron at Andrews Air Force Base. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University for The Health Sciences.
Dr Sofola is a respected member and a Board Examiner for the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has published many articles based on his research in highly respected Medical Journals and has presented at many National and International Medical Conferences. He has been the recipient of numerous professional and military awards and commendations.
Dr. Sofola was formerly Chief of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Sofola was one of the founders of Faces of Honor a program of The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Foundation, the purpose of which is to offer pro bono medical and surgical expertise to veterans who were deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan and received face or neck injuries. He has treated many world leaders and celebrities and has many happy patients in The Woodlands.
