When we say “BBL,” what do you think of?
These days, most people have heard about the Brazilian Butt Lift type of BBL. However, we’re here today to learn more about the BBL HERO Laser — and in this case, “BBL” stands for BroadBand Light.
What is BBL, and what is HERO?
BroadBandLight is the next generation of IPL, or an intense pulsed light, laser device. HERO stands for High Energy Rapid Output. It’s a new piece of technology that can be added to the BBL handpiece to speed up the treatment and create more noticeable results. It delivers pulses of light at 4x the speed, 3x the power, and with 2x the cooling. It’s faster, more powerful, and more comfortable than the original BBL.
It’s the most significant advancement to pulsed broad-spectrum light technology in the past 20 years.
What can it treat?
BBL HERO offers a broad range of wavelengths and adapters, allowing it to treat a variety of skin conditions. It’s approved to perform the following functions:
- Fading hyperpigmentation
- Smoothing lines and wrinkles
- Reducing acne and dullness
- Removing signs of photoaging, such as freckles, age spots, or discoloration
- Treating vascular lesions
- Hair removal
- Skin tightening
- And more!
BBL HERO can treat the face, and larger treatment areas such as the back, arms, and legs, in just 2-5 minutes. And it can be used anywhere on the body! If you want your entire body done, the treatment can be completed within 30 minutes.
How does it work?
The treatment delivers pulses of light energy to the skin, gently heating the cells to promote growth and the removal of dead, damaged cells. As your skin revitalizes, it restores your natural smoothness and glow. Furthermore, BBL HERO is a non-ablative laser, so the treatment leaves no lasting damage and doesn’t harm the surrounding skin.
It feels like a series of warm pulses, but it’s not painful. You may see results after only one treatment, but the results are cumulative and can last for months!
